Greetings Friends,

The New Year has come and gone, our beautiful Scott Lake is covered in a blanket of snow. Spring is in our sights. We give thanks for all the blessings received this winter  and look forward to the awakening life brought on in spring.

The construction at Lourdes Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is nearly complete! We eagerly anticipate opening the Healthcare Center to our residents and getting them  settled into their new home.

A blessing will be held on May 1, 2022. For more information on this event, please turn to page three.

Older adults are a treasure to our community and our lives. We are blessed by their wisdom, history, and legacy. Pope Francis once said, “the elderly are a wealth not to be  ignored.”

Perhaps the most treasured of all are those who have personally touched our hearts: parents, mentors, and especially, grandparents. Few words can describe the special  bond between a grandparent and their grandchildren.

Grandparents hold a unique position in our lives, teaching us family recipes, customs, hobbies and interests, patience, and most importantly, love.

This summer, Lourdes will break ground on a unique healing garden, dedicated to grandparents. The garden will be a place of prayer, reflection, nourishment, education, and friendship for our residents and our families. We invite you to become a part of this wonderful project to honor the grandparents in our lives. It will be a continuation of the Lourdes’ legacy of healing and rest for our residents and their loved ones.

Lourdes is a holy place, sustained by your prayers and support. Your commitment to our mission makes it possible for Lourdes to remain A Great Place to Call Home.
