STEPS TO BECOME A LSC VOLUNTEER


Pre-interview: 
1.    Fill out the following and return to Volunteer Coordinator.
•    Volunteer Application
•    Volunteer Area of Service choices
•    Volunteer Opportunities

2.    Copy of COVID vaccine (Mandatory)

3.    Copy of your driver’s license or student ID

4.     After steps 1-3 are completed the Volunteer Office will call to setup an interview.


After Interview and officially accepted into the Volunteer Program:


5.    Personally, arrange to get TB test, through your Personal Care Provider or Pediatrician, or at a walk-in Urgent Care clinic. Most insurances cover the costs involved. 

6.    Once Volunteer Services has received all required paperwork requested above. You will be required to attend a LSC Volunteer Orientation session. 

7.     At Orientation, you will review the identification badge process. You will also receive instruction on how to log your volunteer hours and information on how to purchase a volunteer apron.

8.     You're now a LSC volunteer!  Thank you kindly for your service.

, agree to serve as a student volunteer with Lourdes Senior Community (LSC) in the capacities outlined in my orientation.  While volunteering, I understand that I will be expected to:

  • Commit to volunteer at least 3 days per month if I am 12- 14 years old with a minimum of 1.5 hours per day, and  1 day per week if I am 15 years or older for a minimum of 2 hours per week.
  • Attend all required training and retraining or plan with Volunteer department if unable to attend due to school schedule.
  • Follow the LSC Code of Conduct, Confidentiality and HIPPA Policy always
  • If a need arises to change volunteer schedule – it must be first approved by Volunteer Leadership.
  • If unable to continue with volunteer assignment(s), a letter of resignation to the Volunteer Specialist will be provided.
  • Adhere to the Student Volunteer dress code
  • Cell phone use and texting are prohibited

Additionally, I understand the following:

  • My volunteer service may be terminated at any time for any reason
  • My volunteer service does not guarantee employment at LSC
